I am Fabienne,
I am Fabienne van Leiden, service designer and strategist. I want to use the power of a creatieve and design approach to help facing the increasingly more complex challenges we face nowadays. Whether this is a multi-stakeholder business challenge or a more societal challenge, I aim to add a creative and human centered perspective to work on valuable, original and beautiful solutions.
I design solutions with a poetic touch, which engage and inspire people to take on action. Empower and encourage to find personal and valuable solutions themselves. In my processes I combine my eagerness to learn with a human centered and iterative design process.
I truly believe in service design and servitization are a great starting point to create solutions for a better future. By shifting from product to a service perspective, organizations are encouraged to keep their customers close and have to invest in the longevity of their products and relations. Which could result in a more focussed business and leaving room to invest in other (sustainable and societal) areas.
Vision
on Design and SocietyCreativity to me, is about making connections resulting in new ideas, insights or initiatives and I love doing this in every way. In my profession as service designer and strategist, but also by connecting people and partners. I am always full of ideas and I trust the creative process to come to these new ideas.
I thrive in complexity and I love to dive into a (strategic) puzzle. I am curious to learn and experience more to broaden my horizon and integrate new views into my personal perspective.
To come up with a solution, idea or concept is one thing, but I also take the initiative to realize the idea. In which I translate my creative ideas to concrete actions. Whether this means making prototype, defining the first actions (quick wins), build a strategic plan or find the necessary IT or partners. I don’t mind taking the initiative to help realizing the ideas and concepts I believe in.
I am reliable, which I consider to be very important both professionally and in my private life. I am transparant and honest. My promises and processes are realistic, and if I am not able to meet a deadline. I am also solution oriented and not easily defeated, if one way does not work, I will always try at least 3 other ways. Regularly considering completely out-of-the-box solutions, to capture at least the essence of what I promised to create.
And, I love to cook! Explore new recipes and ingredients to create unique dishes and experiences and share this with friends, family and colleagues 😉
